I tried three other courses before finding Ryan's site. Something about the way he explains the relationship between chords just clicked instantly. Six months in and I'm playing songs I never thought possible.

The chord library alone is worth it. I can finally understand why certain chords sound the way they do, not just how to finger them. Ryan teaches the music, not just the mechanics.

I picked up guitar at 54 thinking it was too late. Ryan's encouragement and clear method proved me completely wrong. I played my first full song in three weeks. Three weeks!

What I appreciate most is Ryan doesn't dumb things down. He treats you like an intelligent adult who just needs the right map. My ear training improved as much as my technique.

Struggled with barre chords for two years. Ryan's lesson on hand position and wrist angle fixed it in one afternoon. Honestly changed everything for me.

I've recommended Ryan's lessons to everyone in my acoustic circle. The theory sections are especially good — explained simply but without cutting corners. You actually understand what you're playing.

The 14-day free course got me further in two weeks than a year of YouTube rabbit holes. Structured, no fluff, and Ryan's style makes practice feel like playing — not work.

Ryan has a genuine gift for teaching. He knows exactly where students get stuck and heads it off before it becomes a wall. I've never felt more confident holding a guitar.

The way rhythm and strumming patterns are taught here is unlike anything I found elsewhere. It finally made sense. I can now listen to a song and figure out the pattern on my own.

How long does it take to learn guitar?

Most beginners can play their first full song within 2–4 weeks with consistent daily practice. Ryan's structured approach means you're playing real music from day one — not just isolated exercises.

What guitar do I need to start?

Any acoustic or electric guitar works for Ryan's beginner guitar lessons. A quality acoustic in the $100–$200 range is ideal to start. Ryan covers gear recommendations inside the free course.

Are the guitar courses fully online?

Yes — all courses are online and self-paced at PearlGuitar.com. Every lesson includes video instruction, chord charts, strumming patterns, backing tracks, and PDF downloads so you have everything in one place.
